Lord Venkateswara (also popular as Srinivasa, Balaji and Venkatachalapati) is a form of Lord Vishnu. Venkateswara means the Lord who destroys the sins of the people.

Scriptures say that Lord Venkateswara incarnation was taken by Lord Vishnu for the salvation and upliftment of humanity in this Kali Yuga age. The temple of Lord Venkateswara is also called Kaliyuga Vaikuntam.
