From the Pushyamasa Poornima day to the following month of Maghamasam begins and it is observed as holy dips during the day.
On this day a faithful must take bath in river, pond or well before the sunrise and follow it up with the feeding Brahmins and offering them financial gifts as dakshina.
Those who bathe as part of the religious rite on this day go to heaven in celestial crafts after death. The holy dips are very rewarding spiritually.
